There were rumors that it was an official COMME des Garcons x Nike Air Max 180 collaboration for 2018, and it actually is. The sneakers will come in colors of Laser Pink/Solar Red-Black, Laser Pink/Solar Red-White, and Laser Pink/Solar Red-Pink Rise and all three are scheduled to make its debut next year.
Japanese fashion house Nike Shoes White des Garcons is set to releasing their next Nike collaboration on February 1st in three pink-toned colorways. Originally debuting last June during the label’s Homme Plus SS18 fashion show, the Air Max 180 CDG keeps Tinker Hatfield’s original design and applies the vibrant Laser Pink in three options. COMME des Garcons typically reworks the model and adds aesthetic modifications (their Vapormax and Dunk collaborations from this year alone are telling), so consider these rather out of the ordinary for the forward-thinking designer.
Nike Shoes New Model Ralph Steadman is a Welsh artist best known for his work with American author Hunter S. Thompson. But most recently, you guys may recognize him for his illustration done on Travis Scott’s Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho album. His latest project is with Nike Sportswear working on the popular Nike Air Max 180 silhouette. Dressed in the “Ultramarine” color scheme, his version comes with a shaggy taupe suede upper completed with Steadman’s artwork on the tongues.
Nike is consistently releasing a range of retro must-haves ahead of Nike Air Max 180 Black Pink and now we’re given a closer, on-feet look at the newly-released Air Max 180. Arriving in “Ultramarine/Solar Red,” the throwback silhouette features a leather and mesh upper in mostly white tones. The Swoosh stands out in “Ultramarine,” as does the inner lining and binding around the ankle and tongue. “Solar Red” hits appear on the lateral side and around the 180 Air Max unit. Completing the look is Nike branding on the tongue and heel as well as a bulky, cushioned midsole.
