Months back, we reported that a pair of Air Jordan XIs were playing a key role in the murder trial of Aaron Hernandez. Now, it looks like another pair of classic sneakers could be a deciding factor in a Chicago murder case.
According to the Chicago Tribune, longtime nike free run 3 employee and historian Herbert Hedges has once again been called to the stand to share his expertise in the Kane County murder trial against Paul Johnson. Hedges asserts that Johnson was wearing the Nike Air Max 90 in a security video, and that the sneakers match bloody footprints found at the scene of a gruesome murder. "It's a very unique shoe," Hedges said.
Hedges' testimony could prove to be integral to the case as police have yet to physically locate the shoes Johnson was wearing in the security footage. Now that the Air Max 90s have been identified, it could be only a matter of time before this one is wrapped up.
You can run, but, in this case at least, you can't hide.
